Brandon “The Stinger” Arthur put an exclamation point on the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Pro Lite season with a convincing win at the final race at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, AZ. After qualifying second fastest, the inversion drawn was a 2, so it put “The Stinger” on the pole for the final round. “I got a good start and battled with Jerett Brooks for the entire first lap,” said Arthur, “I got the edge on him and took the lead. We had a good battle but I held my position. My Competitive Metals, Toyo Tires, Pro Traffic Services truck was running very strong; we had the winning set up for the track that day.”
The win for Arthur was his 4th for the season where he landed on the podium nine times. He also clinched the 2nd spot podium in the season long points chase.
After the final in round 15, there was only the challenge cup race to run. “We qualified 4th for the Challenge Cup,” said The Stinger, “Right off the start we got pushed back a couple spots. The track was a single fast line; there wasn’t any passing. I got stuck back in 5th and just couldn’t go anywhere. It wasn’t the race we were looking for, but the fans loved it.”
At the awards ceremony Brandon was touched when he was named the winner of the Huseman award. A fierce competitor and role model for many, Rick Huseman was a driver from humble beginnings who raced his way to the very top. The “Huseman Award” is given to the driver who most exemplifies what Rick Huseman personified; talent, skill, and sportsmanship. It is a coveted award that everyone wants to receive.

Brandon has shown he is an accomplished driver both on the track and in the desert, and is also skilled in the shop. Brandon and the family business, HRT Motorsports, built his Pro Lite truck in house. His performance on the track motivated Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg to ask if they would build another chassis for him. HRT constructed the rolling chassis that Stronghold Motorsports completed in their own shop.
